Aren't you clever!

Here’s a great story about paying it forward that I love!

I met Jacquelynne at Spring Market in Pittsburg in May. I was walking past her booth and saw these beautiful wool pins and thought how much I would love to show them to all of you!

It wasn’t until I got home and had a look at her website that I realised what a wonderful program these pins represent.

All of these lovely woollen pins are handmade by artist Jacquelynne Steves, the owner of The Noble Wife  . The wool is hand dyed, cut out, sewn and assembled. Message pins have a hand made wooden button, which has a crackled vintage look. Each pin is one of a kind.

The pins come on a keepsake card, making them a truly unique and heartfelt girt for the most special people in your life. They really are just lovely!

But to me, the best thing about these pins is that all of the profits from the sale of the pins is donated to buy sheep for poor families around the world.

Why sheep? I mean they’re cute and everything, but I thought a cow would be better. Did you know though, that a sheep does so many different things for a family that owns one? For cold, impoverished families, a sheep’s wool can yield soft, warm and long lasting clothes. Sheep often give birth to twins or triplets, which can be sold at market. And sheep’s milk is up to twice as rich as cow’s milk in nutrients like protein, calcium and B vitamins that growing kids need. Go sheep!

To participate in this amazing program for just $15, hop on over to The Noble Wife and click on Wool Pins to have a look at the beautiful pins on offer. My personal fav is the “Create” pin, and the “Be Happy” – everyone needs to be reminded of that.

Best of all, if you buy anything from The Noble Wife for the next seven days (offer ends June 24), even one of her lovely quilt, wool or punch needle patterns or some of her original artworks, Jaquelynne will include a free gift with your purchase, especially for SEWN readers!! You can’t beat that with a stick. Go and have a look!
